Ken Adams, President and CEO of The Business Council of New York State
Mr. Adams will discuss the impact on business of the latest developments in Albany and Washington. He will also reflect on the extent to which members of the NYS Business Council turn to consultants for assistance in an economic downturn.
Kenneth Adams became President and CEO of The Business Council in 2006. The Business Council, established in 1980 through the merger of Associated Industries and the Empire State Chamber of Commerce, is the state's largest and most influential business association. It represents more than 3,000 member businesses, chambers of commerce and professional and trade associations. The mission of the Business Council is to create economic growth, good jobs and strong communities throughout New York State by shaping public policy to improve New York's economy. On behalf of Governor David Paterson, Kenneth serves on the Commission to Modernize the Regulation of Financial Services, the Empire State Stem Cell Board Funding Committee and the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Group. He is also a member of the City University of New York Business Leadership Council.
